In the months leading up to the 2020 elections, many voters who felt like they were being presented with two bad candidates to choose from started talking about third parties. I knew that a third-party vote was ineffectual but I was not able to articulate why, so I researched the history of third party voting in our country and created this guide to give others a better understand of what would result from a large number of third-party votes.
