Every year I have the honor of illustrating the cover image and supplementary feature illustrations for the Texas Scientist magazine. In 2021 the feature story was about what researchers have been discovering about relationships during the pandemic. To convey the sense of tension created by being in such constant close quarters, I scaled up the characters to be as big as a house, barely able to comfortably exist in their own space.
